I know, its been a while since I've written in this journal.

Summer is officially here!

Have you ever really wanted to do something - even planned to do it, and time just escapes you, and then you realized that you forgot something... but can't quite figure out what it is? That's me and updating this journal. Well, here I am. I'm not dead.

It was pointed out to me that I haven't posted in my journal since Tuesday. Am I that naughty? Sorry, guys. There isn't a lot of stuff that is too exciting going on for me. Had an interesting week at work, especially when mid-week, the servers crashed for the credit card processor. Let's just say, there were some men wailing and screaming. And even though it wasn't our fault, we did get yelled at. Please remember, gentlemen, that we are phone girls, not magicians. We love to get your calls just as much as you love making them, but we can't magically fix problems like that and yelling at us won't make it any better.
This weekend, you might notice I haven't been around much. Remember, in my last post, I said I volunteer on weekends? Well one of the ladies I take care of, her daughter asked me if I could sit overnight with her, because she had to go out of town on business and they couldn't find anyone else. I was honored that she trusted me that much, and so I did. I mean, I was just going to be sitting at home anyway, I might as well do something constructive. I hope someone missed me.

I hate to start a journal all melancholy, but it's just been an up-and-down 24 hours. I have, in the past week or so, made a really good friend. He's such a good person that I just kinda feel better when I'm around him. Not many people know this, but I do volunteer work locally, and sometimes it's very hard on me just to go 2 days a week and see people hurting. People that do it on a daily basis inspire me.
Last weekend I met with an especially charming lady. Her name is Annie, and she was the sweetest thing. She has so many people that were around, that loved her, it was so nice to see. I guess I should tell a little about the volunteer work that I do. I clean houses for terminally ill patients that live at home. It's sad, though, because you get attached to the real sweet ones, and when they go, you feel their family's pain too. Because you kind of become family.
I'm going to like seeing her on Saturdays. She's really nice, and she likes sitting around and listening to some of the stories I tell her. She knows that I do phone sex for a living, and it tickles her pink to hear some of my stories. I figure, if I can entertain this dear, sweet woman while I make her life easier, that's just more joy for me.
Everytime I see people who are that surrounded by loved ones, however, it makes me a bit sad. I'm a bit isolated in my own life. Every time I talk to my mom we just fight, and my dad is too busy for me, especially when I'm away at school. This job is wonderful for me, because I am learning how to ... well, how to live, through my callers and my girlfriends.
I don't know that I want to discuss my calls here too much, because believe me, that might freak some people out. This will just be to talk about my daily life. Whatever happens to me during the course of a day. I hope it's not too disappointing.
